Sunday--July 1st??? Already???

Just a quick update on Sunday:  Church--but second service only after taking a walk before church.  It's been so hot--have to walk in the morning.

Abby got some tap shoes to borrow for the July class--but unless more people sign up, sadly, there won't be a class after all.  Too bad--she was really looking forward to trying tap.  And to refreshing her ballet moves too.

We ate leftover Chinese food from our dinner last night:  Sesame chicken and Hunan chicken.

Abby got offered a job by a neighbor to house-and-dog-sit this month for a week.  Very cool.

Abby worked at 2pm, I made scotcheroos and got the house cleaned up because Chris and Rosie came over to talk about LT.  They are going this year, ya know, and we gave them the scoop.

They were here from 4-6pm, Abby got home around 7/7:30ish when it was looking like it was going to storm.  It did get very windy for a short time, and never got as bad as some other places.  Poor people in Columbus have been without power for quite some time.  Lima too.  What a bummer to have to throw away all your food, etc. and not have a fan or for some, running water either.

Oh, yeah.  That's how much of the world lives all the time, huh?

I made spaghetti for dinner and we ate, watched a little of the Olympic trials and then GG.  Abby went down to KTF's since some youth group kids were over there too.

And now, I must head to bed.  Sorry we didn't get to skype with Hannah today.  Seems weird to have a Sunday go by without chatting with her and seeing her face.  But her blog was awesome, and it's nice to know things are going well.  I'm really proud of her for taking this big step--it takes courage to go to such a different culture, for so long, and to tackle so many different things--food, language, time use--but I'm so glad she's doing well.  We're praying!!
